History Westlund Engineering Co. was founded in 1975 by Jerry & Donna Westlund. Since Jerry was a northerner who had worked for 3M, Hilti, and Honeywell, the company was located in Minnesota until they moved it to Florida in 1985. They built assembly and packaging machinery for 3M, Honeywell, IBM, Ford, Hallmark Cards, Revlon, Scott Paper, Upjohn, Square D, GE, Briggs & Stratton, Champion, and McNeil Pharmaceuticals among others. Westlund Engineering Inc. acquired the assets of the business from Jerry in 1994 and has continued building custom machines and complete systems for Johnson & Johnson Medical, Baxter Healthcare, Chevron, Klockner Medipak, Barry Wehmiller, American Olean, And Transitions Optical among others.
